Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Baldur Draupnir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Hales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Baldur Draupnir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Hales!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Kavanagh and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Draupnir swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A nice leg kick lands there from Draupnir.
Hales moves out of range of the body kick.
Hales shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Draupnir as he avoids it easily.
Hales takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Draupnir has been working on his boxing with his coaches at JP´s School Of Excellence in the buildup to the fight.

Hales is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Draupnir got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hales has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Draupnir has managed to get both his arms back between Hales's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round but I would say that Baldur Draupnir will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

It looks like Mark Hales has been cut.

Hales is trying hard to land a takedown here. Draupnir sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hales throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Draupnir escapes and throws Hales's legs to the side, diving into side control!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
