Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barry Rooster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sajjad Gharibi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rooster's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, For whom the bell tolls. Sajjad Gharibi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Barry Rooster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sajjad Gharibi!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rooster slips under a jab.
Rooster swinging wildly here.
Rooster misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Some wild striking there from Gharibi.
Gharibi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gharibi gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Gharibi throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gharibi throws a body shot but no joy.
Rooster's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gharibi connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Rooster scrambles back to his feet.
Rooster shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gharibi eats them both and turns towards Rooster to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rooster throws a series of strikes that have Gharibi backpedaling.
Rooster looks to land a right hand but Gharibi moved out of range.
Gharibi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rooster.
A jab from Rooster finds it's way through Gharibi's defenses.
Gharibi throws the left hand but Rooster avoids the punch easily.
Rooster throws a big counter combination but Gharibi scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Gharibi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Gharibi throws the left hand but Rooster avoids the punch easily.
Rooster seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Rooster is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Rooster connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gharibi's hands.
Rooster throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Rooster looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Rooster drops Gharibi with a left and a right! Oh, Gharibi is hurt - Rooster dives into side control looking to finish!

You can see the frustration on Gharibi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Rooster cracks Gharibi with a big right hand but Gharibi just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Rooster is staying tight to Gharibi's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Rooster has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Gharibi seems a little lost for a moment, as Rooster dominates the positioning.
Rooster creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Rooster lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Gharibi down.

Rooster has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Rooster thuds a left hand into Gharibi's body.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Rooster here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Rooster bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gharibi's head backwards.
Rooster looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gharibi throws a series of punches but Rooster moves out of range.
Rooster lands with a nice combination. Gharibi backs away looking to recover.
Rooster is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Rooster shuts the power down on Gharibi. Lights out, game over! Rooster is your winner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Barry Rooster!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Barry Rooster waved his t-shirt featuring Sydney Fight Gear's logo in front of the cameras.
