Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alistar Silva!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blanchard has his takedown stuffed
and Silva counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Blanchard thinking.
Blanchard shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silva as he avoids it easily.
Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Blanchard fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage.
Silva blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Blanchard manages to break the clinch.
Silva scores with a takedown into Blanchard's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blanchard is pulling down on Silva's head to control his posture.
Blanchard pushes Silva off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Blanchard throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Silva was covering up waiting for the punch and Blanchard finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Silva is wriggling around but Blanchard manages to pass to half guard.
Blanchard is working for a submission of some sort.
Blanchard in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Silva tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Blanchard!
