Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Mattias Steinsson and Moloch Madakassan. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Moloch Madakassan was going to win. Let's see if he was right.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Mattias Steinsson! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 2 losses; Moloch Madakassan! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Madakassan pushes Steinsson up against the cage in a clinch. Madakassan is working for takedown but Steinsson is calmly controlling the position for now. Madakassan has Steinsson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Steinsson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Madakassan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Steinsson walks away with a smile on his face. Madakassan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Mattias Steinsson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Moloch Madakassan. Madakassan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Madakassan fails in his attempt to clinch. Madakassan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Steinsson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Steinsson attempts a counter takedown but Madakassan avoids it well and moves away. Steinsson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Madakassan closes the distance and clinches. Madakassan is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Steinsson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Madakassan gets control of Steinsson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Madakassan will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Madakassan looking for a sweep. Not yet Madakassan, not yet. Madakassan has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Steinsson should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Madakassan has tightened it up now! Steinsson should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
