Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cherny is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cherny throws a body punch but Spartan moves out of range.
Cherny needs to keep his hands up - Spartan had a free shot at his head there.
Cherny looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Spartan is fending him off so far but Cherny persists. Nope, Spartan circles away and we're back to standing.
Cherny tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Spartan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Spartan scores with a one two! Cherny had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Spartan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cherny slips a jab and a cross from Spartan.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Spartan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Cherny misses with a takedown attempt - Spartan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Spartan's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Spartan duly obliges.
Cherny is rocked!
Spartan throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Cherny stumbling backwards into the cage! Cherny bounces back off the cage towards Spartan, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Spartan lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Spartan celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
