Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Volkov!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Russell Pearce and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Collier shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Volkov sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Collier is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Collier is looking for a kimura but Volkov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Collier to get the leverage.
Collier is keen to just control but Volkov is a slippery customer.

Collier is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Volkov.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Collier.

Volkov changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Collier throws a low kick but Volkov avoids it.

Collier seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Collier tries to clinch there but Volkov circles away.

Collier tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Volkov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Volkov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Collier looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Collier looks for the body kick but Volkov saw that one coming.

Volkov takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Volkov catches Collier with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Volkov throws the left hand but Collier avoids the punch easily.
Collier lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Collier throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
