Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Calvin Kidd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clint Eastwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Calvin Kidd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Clint Eastwood! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kidd displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Eastwood. Kidd seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Eastwood closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kidd tries for a takedown but Eastwood manages to get underhooks.
A frustrated look appears on Eastwood's face as he tries to break the clinch. Eastwood is defending well against a takedown attempt. Eastwood drags the fight down to the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kidd avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Eastwood is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Eastwood is looking to sweep but instead, Kidd has passed into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eastwood moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Eastwood looks winded! Kidd is pushing down on Eastwood's leg trying to pass to half guard. Eastwood is fighting to maintain full guard but Kidd has managed to sneak the leg through. Eastwood on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Eastwood is trying to control but can't.
Kidd is keen to just control but Eastwood is a slippery customer. Kidd trying to control the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kidd decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Eastwood ducks under a wild hook from Kidd. Eastwood is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Eastwood misses with a series of wild punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kidd looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Kidd trying to control but Eastwood is working from the bottom. Eastwood is trying to control the position but Kidd postures up. Eastwood has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Kidd has passed into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kidd misses with the ground and pound. Eastwood can't do much from the bottom here. Eastwood tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Kidd presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kidd scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Eastwood takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Eastwood is bucking up trying to escape but Kidd cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Kidd scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Eastwood?

Calvin Kidd dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Eastwood tries for a takedown but Kidd circles away easily and Kidd decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Eastwood's guard. Kidd is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Kidd has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Eastwood is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kidd won't allow Eastwood to sweep him here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Kidd fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Eastwood gets caught napping as Kidd dives in and scores a takedown. Eastwood manages to retain guard. Eastwood is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Kidd dives into side control.
Kidd is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Eastwood can do to turn this around?

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kidd lands a decent elbow from side control. Kidd lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. The strikes coming from Kidd are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Kidd wants to lay and pray for a moment but Eastwood keeps working. Kidd lands a decent elbow from side control.

It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Eastwood is not content to let Kidd control the position. Calvin Kidd overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kidd happy to just control the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Eastwood is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Eastwood tries to get to full guard but Kidd has control of the leg. Eastwood tries to kick Kidd off but Kidd keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Eastwood punching from the bottom.
Kidd is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Calvin Kidd dominated that second round. That's time! Kidd's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Eastwood looks to score with a jab to the body but Kidd is just out of range. As Eastwood tries to get set, Kidd tries to push him back and clinch up but Eastwood manages to avoid the attempt. Eastwood uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kidd.
Kidd shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Eastwood darts in looking for a takedown but Kidd gets double underhooks and turns Eastwood into the cage. Clint Eastwood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Eastwood shoots for a takedown but Kidd saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kidd is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Eastwood. Kidd drives through with a takedown into Eastwood's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Kidd stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Eastwood swivels though and keeps the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kidd engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Kidd might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Eastwood takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. This is a sustained period of stalling by Kidd. Kidd's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Kidd chips away with some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Eastwood working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kidd doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kidd manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kidd instigates a clinch. Kidd blocks an uppercut.
Eastwood tries a knee to the head but Kidd blocks it.
Eastwood is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kidd is keeping busy. Eastwood prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kidd wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Calvin Kidd. That's going to take a lot out of him. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Kidd. Eastwood gets control of Kidd's arms and successfully pulls guard. Eastwood will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Kidd showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Eastwood looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kidd is one step ahead there. Eastwood wants to get back to his feet but Kidd is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Eastwood keeping moving, preventing Kidd from controlling successfully. Kidd is in close to Eastwood's body, working some short punches and elbows. Kidd is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kidd controls from within his opponent's guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Calvin Kidd showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kidd, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
