Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Morgan Reeves (ranked 7808 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lodi Petmalu (ranked 4481 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lodi Petmalu! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Reeves drags the fight down to the ground.
Petmalu keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Reeves's head.
It looks like Morgan Reeves has been cut. Petmalu is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Petmalu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reeves swivels though and keeps the full guard. Petmalu wants to stand but Reeves has a closed guard, so he can't escape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petmalu looking to pass the guard. Petmalu throws a big elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petmalu throwing strikes but missing. Petmalu trying to control but Reeves is working from the bottom. Reeves controls Petmalu momentarily but Petmalu frees himself. Reeves really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Petmalu trying to control but Reeves is working from the bottom. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Reeves being controlled here, momentarily.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Petmalu rushes Reeves and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Petmalu gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Petmalu looking to pass the guard. Petmalu controls from within his opponent's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Petmalu accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Petmalu wants to control from the top but Reeves keeps moving. Petmalu controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reeves is pulling down on Petmalu's head. It's preventing any offense from Petmalu, at least for the moment. Reeves working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Petmalu.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Petmalu scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Petmalu looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Petmalu wants to control but Reeves is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Petmalu is trying to get an arm triangle but Reeves is defending well. A lull in the action here. Petmalu looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Reeves is avoiding damage well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Petmalu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reeves keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lodi Petmalu dominated that round. The cut man is working on Morgan Reeves's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Petmalu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Reeves is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Petmalu is trying to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petmalu is trying is best to control the position here. That's one minute gone in the round. Petmalu is doing well to control the position and prevent Reeves from advancing to side control. Reeves missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Petmalu is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Petmalu preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Petmalu tries to get to full guard but Reeves has control of the leg. Reeves knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Petmalu on the ground. Petmalu has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Reeves is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Petmalu pushes Reeves off looking to stand but Reeves dives back in and keeps control.
Petmalu is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Reeves's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Reeves's back! Reeves is trying to break free.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Petmalu has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Reeves is in real trouble here. Petmalu gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Reeves is tapping out! Petmalu wins by rear naked choke!
