The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandes scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Long pushes Fernandes off looking to stand but Fernandes dives back in and keeps control.
Long is positioning himself well to prevent Fernandes advancing to mount.
Fernandes seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Long does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Long could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Fernandes is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Long is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Long fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fernandes, pushing him back against the cage.
Long is fighting off a takedown attempt but Fernandes is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Long to the mat. Long regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fernandes accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Long has his hands on Fernandes's head, controlling the position.
Fernandes with a flurry of punches that miss.

Fernandes has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Long is proving hard to escape from.
Fernandes postures up and lands a big shot to Long's brow.

Long has control of Fernandes's left arm, preventing Fernandes from doing any damage.
Long wants to get back to his feet but Fernandes is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Fernandes closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Long quickly recovers to half guard.
Fernandes has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Fernandes is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Long is controlling Fernandes's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Long knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fernandes on the ground.

Long gets caught flat footed, as Fernandes shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Fernandes is standing up over Long. Long looks to escape but Fernandes dives into side control.

Long is not content to let Fernandes control the position.
Fernandes tries to advance to mount but Long instead regains half guard.
Fernandes is working for a submission of some sort.
Fernandes tries to pass the half guard into mount. Long knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Fernandes prevents Long from improving his position.
Long is holding on to half guard well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fernandes passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Long!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bibiano Da Silva Fernandes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Fernandes misses with a head kick.
Long takes a jab right on the kisser.
Fernandes connects with a right that clearly hurt Long. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Fernandes proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Long collapses and taps out under the pressure!
