Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Daren Wooten! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jan Orlowski! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Orlowski fails with a takedown attempt. Orlowski lands a nice shot that snaps Wooten's head back.
Orlowski closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wooten did well to prevent Orlowski getting side control. Wooten trying to hold on to Orlowski's head to control him but Orlowski postures up.
Wooten works his way to full guard. Good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Orlowski is in close to Wooten's body, working some short punches and elbows. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wooten has control of Orlowski's left arm, preventing Orlowski from doing any damage. Wooten manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Orlowski manages to get himself to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Orlowski trying to keep a closed guard but Wooten is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Orlowski keeping moving, preventing Wooten from controlling successfully. Wooten missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Orlowski manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Orlowski is trying to drag Wooten to the mat but Wooten just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Wooten content to slow the pace in the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooten stands up and waves to Orlowski to follow him. Orlowski takes the fight into the clinch. Wooten manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Wooten is pressed up against the cage. Orlowski has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wooten down to the mat. Wooten avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Daren Wooten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jan Orlowski. Orlowski moves into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Orlowski looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Wooten turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Wooten manages to end up in side control. Orlowski is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Wooten asserts his dominance and retains side control. Wooten wants to lay and pray for a moment but Orlowski keeps working. Wooten controls the position from side control. Wooten decides to take the fight back to the feet. Wooten moves into range and clinches up with Orlowski. Wooten just leaning against Orlowski, taking a breather.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Orlowski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Wooten shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Orlowski pinned against the cage. Orlowski gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Wooten tries to score a power double leg takedown but Orlowski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wooten somewhat. Orlowski misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Orlowski tries a head kick but it misses.
Orlowski feints and as Wooten raises his hands in defense, Orlowski changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jan Orlowski dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Wooten takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Orlowski looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Wooten! Wooten is looking for a sweep. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Orlowski working away. Wooten is looking to regain half guard here but Orlowski keeps moving and retains side control. Orlowski is working Wooten over with some ground and pound from side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Orlowski working away. Orlowski cracks Wooten with a big right hand but Wooten just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Orlowski scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Wooten to see if he's OK. Wooten is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Orlowski looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wooten with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Orlowski lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Orlowski missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Ground and pound from Orlowski.
Wooten is rocked! Orlowski is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Wooten is hurt! He's hurt bad - Orlowski fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Wooten from any more punishment! Congratulations to Orlowski! Great finish!
