PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Brown (ranked 8065 p4p, 470 weight class) and Joey Tophat (ranked 6103 p4p, 422 weight class). Brown 's entrance music is Gangsta Paradise. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown gets tackled into the cage by Tophat. Tophat maintains the clinch.
Brown is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Tophat is defending well.

Brown pulls Tophat into guard.
Tophat has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Brown is proving hard to escape from.

Brown is pulling down on Tophat's head. It's preventing any offense from Tophat, at least for the moment.
Tophat stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tophat really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tophat is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brown doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tophat.

Tophat is nestled in close to Brown , controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Tophat is taking a breather. Brown says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Brown jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tophat walks away with a smile on his face. Brown gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Tophat gets through Brown 's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Tophat is pressed up against the cage. Brown has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tophat down to the mat. Tophat avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Tophat uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Brown has time to react.
