The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Italo quickly recovers to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones is looking for a kimura but Italo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jones to get the leverage.
Jones thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

This one could be over very soon! Jones goes limp - he's gone! Italo jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
