Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between AB Positive (ranked 1227 p4p, 137 weight class) and Carwyn Cain (ranked 1406 p4p, 148 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, AB Positive! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 2, fighting out of London, Carwyn Cain! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Positive lands a nice looking body kick. Positive throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Cain counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Cain is looking to work some ground and pound but Positive has wrist control. Positive is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Positive working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cain. Cain slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Cain lands an elbow. Cain misses with the ground and pound. Cain working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Positive taking punishment in the form of punches.
Cain has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Nonstop Works. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Positive pushes Cain away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Cain gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Positive is trying to escape the position but Cain is controlling the position. Cain tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Cain lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Cain creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Cain throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Cain looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Positive is avoiding damage well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Positive tries to escape but Cain is in control. Cain thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Positive takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Cain in side control, throwing shots but Positive defends. Positive wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Cain working the ground and pound but Positive is defending the strikes. Positive is pushing Cain's head away, looking to escape. Cain manages to hold on to the position though. Cain working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Positive is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Cain looks up at the clock and then as Positive takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Cain smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Positive on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Positive tries to get out of the position. Cain in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Sloppy strikes there by Cain. Cain is looking to take a break and control but Positive is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cain working the body and head with strikes. Cain trying to control the position but Positive is working away. Cain sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Positive is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Cain has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Cain postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Cain has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Positive! Positive squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Cain has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Positive's face.
Cain prevents Positive from getting the reversal. Cain has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Positive is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Carwyn Cain! Carwyn Cain is the new featherweight champion! In his post fight interview, Carwyn Cain started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
