Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gaultier Girard (ranked 423 p4p, 67 weight class) and Jean-Claude Marceau (ranked 1004 p4p, 158 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Marceau clinches up against the cage.

Marceau fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Girard looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Marceau takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
That has opened up Jean-Claude Marceau's cut even more.
Girard uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Marceau.
Good leg kick by Girard there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Girard closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Girard is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Marceau digs a good body shot into Girard's ribs.
Marceau tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Girard is able to avoid easily.
Girard comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Gaultier Girard will probably get the nod.

Girard walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Marceau checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Girard takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Jean-Claude Marceau's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

A very excited looking Gaultier Girard rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
