Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avery tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jericho defends well and Avery ends up having to push Jericho into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Jericho lands a nice shot to the body.
A punch lands to the side of Avery 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Avery moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Jericho slips a jab from Avery.
Avery fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jericho manages to avoid it.
Jericho is looking for a counter combo.
Avery moves out of range of the body kick.
Jericho connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Jericho has closed the distance and engaged Avery in a clinch.
Come on Jericho - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Avery is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jericho gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Maxim Jericho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Avery.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Avery is trying to pull guard but Jericho turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Jericho is pressed up against the cage. Avery has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jericho down to the mat. Jericho avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Avery goes for a takedown attempt but Jericho pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jericho lands a nice looking kick to the body. Avery takes a step back to recover.

Jericho lands a slapping body shot.
Avery avoids the body shot from Jericho.
Avery shoots in but Jericho avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jericho moves out of range of the strikes.
Jericho is looking to wear down Avery with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Avery throws a lazy right hand but Jericho sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Avery takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Jericho throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Avery crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jericho - the referee stops the clock and Avery gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jericho. Avery manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Avery looks for a takedown but Jericho sprawls well.

Jericho throws a hook but Avery avoids it easily.
Jericho connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Avery's hands.

Avery ducks right into an uppercut from Jericho.

Avery scores with a sloppy right hand. Jericho should have avoided that one.
Jericho lands with a straight right. Avery didn't see that one coming.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Avery's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Jericho scores with a shoulder strike.
Avery is still on wobbly legs! Can Jericho finish him?
Avery throws an elbow that misses.
Jericho lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Jericho's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Jericho is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Jericho lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Avery stalling in the clinch but Jericho improves position.

Jericho escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jericho cracks Avery with a hook to the temple - Avery is on wobbly legs here! Jericho swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Avery falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Jericho wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Maxim Jericho!
After winning the bout, Maxim Jericho thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
