Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Shinnie!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shinnie looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Zenon throws an overhand right that lands on Shinnie's shoulder, as Shinnie tries to avoid the shot.
Shinnie has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Zenon shoots in for a double leg but Shinnie sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Apollo Zenon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shinnie lands a jab to the head.
Zenon blocks a jab.
Shinnie ducks under a wild hook from Zenon.
Zenon gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Zenon checks a low kick from Shinnie.

Zenon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shinnie was well out of range. Poor timing from Zenon.
Shinnie takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Zenon jabs Shinnie right on the nose. Shinnie blinks but takes it well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Zenon fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Zenon misses the shot to the body.
Shinnie takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Zenon jabs Shinnie right on the nose. Shinnie blinks but takes it well.

Shinnie bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Shinnie counters with a nice body shot.

Shinnie swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Shinnie misses with a body shot.

Zenon scores with a jab to the jaw.
Shinnie throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Zenon tumbling to the canvas!
Zenon is rocked!
Shinnie tries to stand but Zenon is controlling from the bottom.
Oh Zenon is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Zenon seems to have got his legs back now.
Shinnie wanted to stand there but Zenon had control of the position.
Zenon is working an open guard so Shinnie takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Shinnie lands a big shot that drops Zenon! Can he finish him?
Shinnie has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Zenon is proving hard to escape from.
Zenon is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Shinnie wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Zenon's closed guard. He's half up but Zenon has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Zenon pivots and extends the arm, Shinnie falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Zenon! Well done that man!
