Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Flint Beaswood (ranked 2942 p4p, 385 weight class) and Gustaf Alexandersson (ranked 3761 p4p, 463 weight class). Alexandersson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Amon Amarth - Twilight of the Thunder God. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gustaf Alexandersson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alexandersson dips to his left and cracks Beaswood with an uppercut! Alexandersson looks to score with a jab to the body but Beaswood is just out of range. Beaswood appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Alexandersson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Beaswood.

Gustaf Alexandersson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Beaswood closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Beaswood lands in his opponent's guard. Alexandersson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alexandersson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Beaswood might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beaswood trying to hold on to Alexandersson's head to control him but Alexandersson postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Alexandersson wants to stand but Beaswood has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Beaswood has his hands clasped together around Alexandersson's back. He's all about the action. Alexandersson wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Beaswood uses the opportunity to regain full guard. Alexandersson won't allow Beaswood to sweep him here. I've been told that Alexandersson has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game. Beaswood has a closed guard, preventing Alexandersson from standing up.

Beaswood moves into range and clinches up with Alexandersson. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Alexandersson is trying to break free. Beaswood wants to advance to full mount but Alexandersson doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Alexandersson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Beaswood controls the pace. Alexandersson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Beaswood doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Beaswood manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Alexandersson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Beaswood gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Alexandersson has momentary wrist control but Beaswood slips an elbow through the middle. That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Beaswood postures up and lands a big shot to Alexandersson's brow. Beaswood landing with the ground and pound. Beaswood chips away with some ground and pound. Beaswood looking to pass the guard. That's one minute gone in the round. Beaswood lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Still in half guard, Beaswood seems content to control. Beaswood looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Beaswood connects with a nice short shot to Alexandersson's temple. Beaswood is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Alexandersson defends it well. Beaswood winds up and cracks Alexandersson with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Well, if Beaswood is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Alexandersson is not content to let Beaswood control the position. Alexandersson is pushing Beaswood's head away, looking to escape. Beaswood manages to hold on to the position though. Beaswood is working Alexandersson over with some ground and pound from side control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Beaswood looks up at the clock and then as Alexandersson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Beaswood smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Alexandersson is looking for a sweep. Beaswood cracks Alexandersson with an elbow. That is naaassty. Alexandersson regains half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Flint Beaswood dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
A looping hook to the body misses from Alexandersson. Beaswood does a little dance to reset his feet. Alexandersson throws a hook but Beaswood blocks it. Beaswood is nestled in close to Alexandersson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Alexandersson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Alexandersson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Beaswood with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Beaswood scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Alexandersson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Beaswood scores with a couple of nice shots. A relieved looking Flint Beaswood thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. Gustaf Alexandersson was interviewed post fight and said 'Good fight, man!'.
