Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montoya just misses with a punch to the body.
Der Ley seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Montoya falls off balance throwing a combination
and Der Ley counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Der Ley drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Montoya dives on top into guard.
Montoya would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Montoya decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Montoya goes for a double leg but Der Ley avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Der Ley continues to drive forward.
As Montoya tries to get set, Der Ley tries to push him back and clinch up but Montoya manages to avoid the attempt.
Montoya closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Montoya lands in his opponent's guard.

Montoya drops back, looking for a kneebar! Der Ley looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Der Ley looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Der Ley!

Der Ley goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Montoya rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Der Ley's guard! Nice work there by Montoya!
