Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Mike Charles (ranked 2428 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramon Gracie (ranked 108 p4p, 0 weight class). Charles's entrance music is Renegades Of Funk - Rage Against The Machine. A fine choice. Gracie is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Jiu Jitsu: Vai Finaliza!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 3 losses; Mike Charles! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Ramon Gracie!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Charles looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gracie is fending him off so far but Charles persists. Nope, Gracie circles away and we're back to standing.

Charles swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Gracie is now in Charles's guard. A big mistake from Charles there, giving up the dominant position!

Charles bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gracie's guard.

Gracie felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Gracie is stalling here. Charles is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Gracie seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Charles has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
