After the fight, Bob Backlund was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Allen chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Fernandez can pounce on him.

Fernandez drops Allen with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Allen looks back up at him and smiles so Fernandez waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed. #CUT2#
It looks like Barry Allen has been cut.
Allen looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fernandez lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Allen head around and knocks him out cold! Fernandez hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

As Miguel Fernandez got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Hey guys, that's it now. I'm done. It's been a helluva run but it's time to hang up the gloves. Thank you.'.
