Daleske throwing strikes from guard but Loredo blocks nicely. Loredo looking for a sweep. Not yet Loredo, not yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Loredo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Daleske controls the pace. Daleske postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Loredo is breathing heavily.#T1# Daleske trying to control but Loredo is working from the bottom. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Daleske shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Loredo as he jumps to the side. Daleske fails with the takedown. Loredo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Daleske's calf. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Daleske lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Loredo has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Loredo and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Loredo lands a jab-cross combination. Loredo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Daleske tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Loredo swivels and escapes. Alvin Loredo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vashon Daleske. Loredo takes a swing at Daleske's ribcage but misses. Daleske moves out of range of the leg kick from Loredo. Alvin Loredo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. No joy there for Loredo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Daleske has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Vashon Daleske seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD# Daleske throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Magaba was covering up waiting for the punch and Daleske finishes the takedown easily into guard. #SUB2# Magaba is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Daleske defends well. Magaba tries to land a sweep but no joy. #SUB2# Magaba working for a triangle but Daleske defends it easily.

Ferguson stuffs the takedown attempt from Daleske. Daleske gets slowly back to his feet. Daleske darts in looking for a takedown but Ferguson gets double underhooks and turns Daleske into the cage. Loredo turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Loredo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Loredo keeps Daleske at a distance using the push kick. Loredo lands with a hook. Daleske tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Alvin Loredo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Loredo dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Loredo lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.#ROC# Daleske is rocked! Loredo lands a body shot.

#R1# Loredo throws a right and a left that Daleske avoids nicely. Alvin Loredo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Daleske ducks under a wild hook from Loredo. Daleske attempts a counter takedown but Loredo avoids it well and moves away. Daleske wants to clinch up but Loredo keeps it at a distance. Daleske shoots in but no luck this time. Daleske misses with a head kick.
Loredo throws the left hand but Daleske avoids the punch easily. Daleske displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Loredo throws out the jab. Daleske has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Loredo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Daleske. Loredo swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Loredo thows a left - swing and a miss! Loredo lands a right hook to the body.
Loredo cracks Daleske with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Good shot there by Loredo. Daleske goes for a double leg but Loredo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Loredo continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vashon Daleske. That's going to take a lot out of him. Loredo lands a head shot.
