Lyles doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Lyles takes a swing at Barnes's ribcage but misses. Barnes misses the jab. Lyles pulls out of a head kick attempt.
#CL2# Barnes closes the distance and clinches. Lyles is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Barnes digs a right hand into Lyles's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Lyles's gas tank. Lyles is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barnes has Lyles pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lyles manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Barnes holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Barnes's coach down at English Top Team - THE Hybrid Gym (11 ELITE ) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Barnes's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Still in the clinch, Barnes scores with a nice short uppercut. Barnes lands a right hand that snaps the head of Lyles backwards. #T1# Barnes lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Lyles looking to slow down the pace here. Paul Barnes dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! #R2# Lyles waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Barnes. Lyles feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Barness jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Barnes jabs at Lyles's body. Lyles throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Barnes bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.#TD2# Barnes closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lyles's guard. Barnes is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. #SUB2# Barnes is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Barnes stands and throws Lyles's legs to the side, diving into side control. #T1# Lyles is trying to control Barnes's posture but Barnes avoids it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Barnes wants to control but Lyles is keeping him busy. #SUB2# Barnes is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lyles is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. #SUB2# Barnes goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Lyles has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Barnes but great work by Lyles. Barnes manages to get back to half guard. #R1# Angelo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lyles moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Lyles throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A right-left combo lands from Angelo. Lyles scores with a body shot.
Angelo just misses with a punch to the body.
Left hook, right uppercut from Lyles. #CUT2# It looks like Luiz Angelo has been cut. Lyles closes the distance and clinches up with Angelo, looking for a takedown. Lyles pushes Angelo against the cage but Angelo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Lyles looks to land a right hand but Angelo moved out of range. Lyles shoots in but Angelo avoids the takedown attempt easily. Angelo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Angelo throws a solid leg kick but Lyles takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Angelo. Angelo chopping away at his opponent's legs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lyles throws a shot from downtown. Angelo moves away and avoids it. As Lyles tries to get set, Angelo tries to push him back and clinch up but Lyles manages to avoid the attempt. Lyles misses the shot to the body. Angelo tries to counter by clinching up but Lyles breaks away and moves out of range.#T1# Lyles keeps the fight on the outside. Lyles misses the jab. Angelo tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Lyles manages to circle out of the way. Lyles uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Angelo.

Lyles is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Angelo. Angelo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lyles. Luiz Angelo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Buddy Lyles. Angelo scores with a decent looking hook.#KD# Angelo feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lyles sprawling to the canvas! Lyles rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Angelo finish him?!
#ROC# Lyles is rocked!#CUT# It looks like Buddy Lyles has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lyles dodges the punch combination from Angelo.
Lyles is still on wobbly legs! Can Angelo finish him? Lyles is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Angelo rather than just go for the knockout. Lyles circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Angelo. Lyles falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Angelo!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lyles, as that shot connected.
#CUT# It looks like Amos Miguel has been cut.#CL2# Miguel closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. #TD2# Miguel ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Miguel no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Lyles not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Lyles postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lyles throwing strikes but missing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lyles is looking to work some ground and pound but Miguel has wrist control. Lyles wants to control from the top but Miguel keeps moving. #SUB2# Miguel throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
