Ackley has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Bear's Den ($300) in the buildup to the fight. Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign! Horrible takedown attempt by Ackley or perhaps it was just good defense by Conforti, which made it look bad. Ackley fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Conforti misses with a few strikes there.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ackley is defended easily by Conforti. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Ackley. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Conforti will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ackley is looking to break free of the clinch but Esperanto has double underhooks. #TD2# Esperanto works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Esperanto controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Esperanto passes Ackley's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Esperanto takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ackley gets full guard. Ackley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.#SUB# Ackley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Esperanto doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position.
