Kinney trying to control the position but Van Gan manages to sink in the hooks. #SUB2# Kinney defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Van Gan's arms. #SUB2# Van Gan goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Kinney escapes and is now in half guard on top. Van Gan regains full guard. Nicely done. The crowd are loving this. Reynolds connects with the punch.#CL2# Reynolds fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kinney, pushing him back against the cage. Kinney is trying to force a seperation but Reynolds has the dominant position. Kinney misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Reynolds.
Kinney has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Kinney tries to break the clinch but Reynolds is controlling the position. Kinney taking a breather. #BC# Kinney breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Malcolm Reynolds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kinney takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Reynolds misses with a jab, cross combination.

He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kinney controlling the position. Souza trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kinney's guard. Souza looking to pass the guard. Kinney manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Souza manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVR# We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kinney distracts Souza with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Souza wants to control but Kinney passes easily into half guard.
Souza is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kinney scores with a couple of nice shots.#T1# Kinney takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Kinney could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Kinney is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. #R1# Nice cross by Rostov. Kinney could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Kinney fails in his attempt to clinch. Rostov rushes Kinney with punches - Kinney moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Kinney goes down! Rostov follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
