#R1# Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.#TD# Duffy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Duffy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Duffy trying to control the position but Hayes is working away. Duffy in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Duffy in side control lands a decent elbow. Duffy looks up at the clock and then as Hayes takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Duffy smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
#SUB# Duffy thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. #SUB# Duffy is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hayes knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Troyer lands a right hand that snaps the head of Hayes backwards. Troyer scores with a nice hook to the head. Troyer lands with a short head shot on the inside. Troyer lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Troyer working some nice short punches in the clinch.#ROC# Hayes is rocked! Troyer scores with a hook to the body. Hayes is still on wobbly legs! Can Troyer finish him? A body shot lands from Troyer.
#KD# Troyer drops Hayes onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Hayes is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Troyer lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Hayes to his knees! Troyer keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Laiho lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Poor timing from Gilmore.#TD2# Hayes throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gilmore tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gilmore's guard.#ES# Gilmore has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Hayes has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Gilmore drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hayes gets the underhooks and prevents it.

It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Gilmore manages to end up in side control.#ES2# Hayes sneaks out the side door and pushes Gilmore away - he's back to his feet.
