He's managed it. Nice work. Chaka takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Velasquez moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Chaka won't allow Velasquez to sweep him here. Velasquez controls Chaka momentarily but Chaka frees himself. Chaka engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Chaka is looking to work some ground and pound but Velasquez has wrist control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chaka tries to free his leg and advance position but Velasquez is retaining full guard. Velasquez trying to control the position from guard on top but Marques is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. #SUB2# Marques looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Marques lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVB# We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marques is squeezing on Velasquez like an anaconda would it's prey. Velasquez fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Howard slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Velasquez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Howard wants to stand but Velasquez is controlling his posture from full guard. Howard controls from within his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lawson has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Palace of Pain Gym - VCL - Rio. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Velasquez keeping hold of Johnson's head, controlling as best he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson working the head and body with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Velasquez keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Velasquez taking some punishment here, with Johnson in his half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Johnson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Velasquez's head. #T1# Velasquez is refusing to be controlled, as Johnson sits in half guard.
