Sloppy strikes from Quick. Those never looked like landing.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Thomas! But no joy.
Thomas takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Quick missing with a left hand there. Thomas was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
And Thomas tries to counter it with a takedown but Quick pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Quick misses with a looping right.
Quick just misses with a punch to the body.
Thomas walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

It looks like Chad Thomas has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thomas throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Quick's waist but Quick gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Thomas off to one side.
Ernie Quick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chad Thomas.

Thomas shoots in looking for a takedown. Quick tries to sprawl out of it but Thomas keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Quick manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Quick bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Thomas's head backwards.
Quick lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Quick counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Quick lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Thomas out cold! Thomas is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

Thomas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Thomas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rodrigues but Rodrigues pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chad Thomas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rodrigues goes for a double leg but Thomas avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Thomas continues to drive forward.#TD#

That was a close second round but I would say that Chad Thomas will probably get the nod.
