The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

A very excited looking Oaki Sato rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Williams is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Oh but Sato is tightening it up a little... Williams has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Williams reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Williams taps out! Nice BJJ there by Sato!

After the fight, Oaki Sato was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Oaki Sato decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Sato wants to clinch up but Haibane keeps it at a distance.
Oaki Sato seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Haibane looking to score a takedown here. Sato is defending well but Haibane drives through and ends up in Sato's guard.

Sato bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Haibane's guard.

Haibane has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Sato drops back looking for a leg! Haibane is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Haibane manages to kick Sato off! Sato jumps back into Haibane's guard.
Haibane wants to sweep here but Sato controlling him for the moment.

Sato stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Haibane swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Haibane can't keep his opponent in guard - Sato advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Haibane wants to control but Sato is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sato looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Haibane is not content to let Sato control the position.

Haibane wants to control but Sato is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Sato tries to pass to full mount but Haibane defends it.

Sato maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Haibane could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Sato has cracked it and Haibane is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Sato!
