#TD2# John turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Clements keeps John under control for a moment. Clements tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but John wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Clements gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Clements trying to control here.
John wants to stand up but Clements has a hold of him and won't allow it. John seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Clements does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Clements wants to get back to full guard but John has mounted him!#SUB2# John is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Clements is surviving well by controlling John's body position as best he can. John wants to control from the top but Clements keeps moving. John must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. John stopping the sweep attempt from Clements. Clements is trying to keep John in close.

John tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Clements really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.#CL2# John moves into the clinch successfully.
#TD2# John ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. John no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Kris John has got the better of the ground game so far. John is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.#SUB2# Clements avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
