#R1##TD2# Rath closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Hyde regains half guard. Rath wants to free his trapped foot but Hyde is holding on for dear life with his legs. Rath wants to stand up but Hyde manages to regain full guard. Rath trying to control but Hyde is working from the bottom. Rath pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hyde is keeping the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hyde is controlling Rath's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rath trying to control but Hyde is working from the bottom. #T1# Rath throwing strikes but missing. Rath must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hyde lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR##SUB# Hyde drops back looking for a leg! Rath is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rath manages to kick Hyde off! Hyde jumps back into Rath's guard. #SU# Hyde gets to his feet - Rath follows without any prompting. #T2##CL2# Rath has managed to clinch.

Rath working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.#BC# Hyde pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rath feints a jab promting Hyde to slip. Rath then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hyde slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.#CUT2# It looks like Kory Hyde has been cut.#TD2# Rath shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hyde manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.#ROC2# Hyde is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action!#SU2# Rath decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. #TD2# Rath is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Hyde is in big trouble! Rath is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Hyde. Poor guy.
