Mir tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Takano manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Takano looks to land a left hand but Mir moved out of range nicely.
Mir doesn't manage to clinch there - Takano circles away.
It seemed like Takano was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Takano throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Mir pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Takano back to the cage. Mir follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.#CL#
Mir rushes Takano and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Takano presses Mir against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Mir throws a punch but it's blocked by Takano.
Mir misses with a punch on the inside.
Takano pushes Mir back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Takano cracks Mir with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Takano has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Mir to stand back up!#CUT2#
It looks like Brock Mir has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Takano looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Takano cracks Mir with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Mir looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Takano finish him?

Takano moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Oh Mir is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mir darts in trying to clinch
and Takano counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mir thinking. #T1#
Mir drops his hands momentarily. Takano doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Mir staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Mir doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Yoshi Takano!

Harper gets tackled into the cage by Mir. Mir maintains the clinch.
Mir softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.

Harper ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Harper no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Mir wants to stand but Harper is controlling his posture from full guard.

Mir is looking to stand up but Harper won't let him.
Harper seems keen to control Mir's posture.
Harper will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
