Luck tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shepherd was well out of range. Poor timing from Luck. Luck keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Luck went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. A looping hook to the body misses from Shepherd. Luck does a little dance to reset his feet. Luck fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Shepherd replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Luck blocks it well. Luck moves out of range as Shepherd throws a body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shepherd scores with a head kick.

A low kick from Luck misses and Shepherd counters with a series of strikes. Luck will be more careful next time no doubt. This has been an exciting period of action! Shepherd throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Shepherd misses with a wild body shot. Luck steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Shepherd. That one must have hurt. Shepherd tries to clinch up but Luck circles away and keeps his distance.#T3# Shepherd throws a push kick but Luck slaps the foot to one side. Shepherd pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Shepherd moves in looking to clinch but Luck pushes him off. Luck connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Shepherd does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. It looked like Luck was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Shepherd moves out of range of the body kick. A slow jab from Luck misses its intended target. Shepherd swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Shepherd tries to score with a low kick but Luck moves his leg out of the way. Shepherd lands a lovely overhand right.#T4# Luck fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Shepherd looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Shepherd connects with a looping right hand.

Luck tries to bum rush Shepherd with a series of wild strikes but Shepherd uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Shepherd changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Shepherd misses with a jab, cross combination.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Luck throws a series of punches but Shepherd avoids them all with ease. Shepherd doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luck's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Shepherd connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Luck scrambles back to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A lazy left from Shepherd finds it's target. Luck walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Shepherd checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Luck lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shepherd circles away quickly and effectively. Shepherd checks a low kick from Luck. The fighters circle momentarily. Shepherd darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Luck throws a hook but Shepherd avoids it easily. And that's the end of the fight! Sam Shepherd comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Shepherd has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Salas is looking to counter the offense by Luck and move into the clinch.#CL2# Luck forces Salas back against the cage and clinches.#BC2# Luck breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. #TD2# Luck closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. #ES# Salas manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Luck keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Luck tries to break the clinch but Salas is controlling the position. Salas jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Luck walks away with a smile on his face. Salas gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Salas closes this distance looking for a takedown but Luck circles away. Salas shoots for a double leg takedown but Luck sprawls well. He's pushed Salas's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shirley Salas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Luck misses with a two punch combination.

#ROC2# Salas is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Shirley Salas has been cut. Luck goes for a small jab and connects. Now Luck goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Salas stumbles back but Luck runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Salas to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Salas will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
