#R1# Grant fails with a takedown attempt.#TD2# Grant gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Grant wants to get back to his feet but Jim passes into half guard.
Grant could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#REVR# Grant is looking to control Jim's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Grant avoid being mounted? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jim working over Grant with some ground and pound. Grant looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Jim controlling the action here. Grant is trying to escape back to his feet but Jim uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T1# Grant is being controlled here. Jim's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Grant tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Jim postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Grant looks a forlorn figure.
Grant knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jim on the ground. Grant is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Grant is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Jim tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Jim has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Grant's face.
Jim content just to control the position here. Grant is wriggling around trying to escape.
Jim controlling the pace for now. Jim wants to control the pace but Grant is squirming around nicely. #T2# Grant tries to buck Jim off but Jim takes his back! Jim controlling the position well here. Grant rolled but Jim kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Grant trying to get back to his feet but Jim is in full control for now. Jim lands strikes to the head. What can Grant do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Grant tries to escape but Jim has the hooks in and won't let him break free. They are putting on a show! Grant avoids a punch combination nicely.
As Jim looks to move away, Grant throws a big counter combo but Jim just gets out of the way.#T3# Jim moves to clinch but Grant breaks away enabling Grant to counter with a crisp jab. Grant goes for a high kick. It partially lands.#TD# Grant scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Jim is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Grant's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.#SUB# Grant is working for a kimura but Jim is defending it quite comfortably.
Grant is breathing heavily. Jim moves into full guard.
#T4# Grant throws a big right hand that misses. Jim lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVB# Jim passes Grant's left leg - he's now in half guard. Jim seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jim perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. More stalling from Jim. Grant might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.#SU2# Jim postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Grant to stand up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Grant's half guard. Jim wants to pass to mount but Grant is defending the position. Grant is in trouble now - Jim has advanced to mount! Grant throwing hammer fists to the chest of Jim. What's that going to do exactly? Grant is working to get back to half guard.
Jim is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Jim controlling his opponent. Jim trying to control but Grant is having none of it. Jim has been the more effective fighter overall so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jim looking to control and managing it successfully. #T1# Jim fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Jim blocks Grant's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Grant wants to try and get back to his feet. Grant tries to strike from the bottom but he's left himself exposed and Jim has taken his back. Grant is trying to remain composed but Jim is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. A bit of a pause in the action here. Jim controlling the positon. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Grant wants to get back to his feet. #SUB2# Jim has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Grant has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
#SUB2# Grant is trying to stand. He's onto all fours with Jim on his back. Jim looks like he's slipping off but he's actually tansitioning to a beautiful armbar! Grant has to tap out to a very impressive submission!

#R1# Francolin listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.#CUT2# It looks like Lawerence Grant has been cut. Grant takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Francolin lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Francolin lands a brutal uppercut that launches Grant off his feet! Grant tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Swamp Francolin! Swamp Francolin decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Grant is not content to let White control the position. Grant is trying to stand back up but White is controlling him

White controls the position. Grant is looking for a sweep. Grant wants to get back to his feet but White is dominant here and he's now got Grant's back! White softening up his opponent with strikes here.

#R1##TD# Grant shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lucas's guard.#ES2# Lucas pushes Grant off and scrambles back to his feet.
#TD2# Lucas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lucas wants to control from the top but Grant keeps moving. #SUB# Grant had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lucas defends it easily. Lucas content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Grant might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lucas lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#ES# Grant has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Skjoldr is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. The referee calls for Grant to work.
Skjoldr gets underhooks to prevent Grant's takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Skjoldr is trying to push Grant away but Grant has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.#T1# Grant tries to pull guard but Skjoldr forces him back to his feet, against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grant throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Skjoldr works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Skjoldr avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Grant throwing strikes but missing. #SU# Grant stands up from Skjoldr's guard - Grant perhaps looking for a knockout. #T1# Skjoldr takes a kick to the side of the head. Grant gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Grant tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Skjoldr is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Grant buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Grant!! Grant is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Skjoldr throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Rigor tries to clinch up but Grant circles away and keeps his distance. Grant takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Grant looking to finish Rigor with some ground and pound. This is bad for Rigor! Grant landing punches. Grant landing strikes from the mount. Grant with a couple of short strikes. Grant takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.#SUB# Grant is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Grant!
