Johansson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Alvarez throws a series of punches but Johansson moves out of range. Johansson tries to clinch up. Alvarez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A combination from Alvarez does no damage. Alvarez misses with a double jab
#TD2# and Johansson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Johansson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Alvarez's head. Johansson trying to control the pace. Alvarez won't allow Johansson to pass to mount. #T1##SUB2# Johansson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Alvarez sees it coming and defends easily. Johansson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.#SUB2# Johansson in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... A less than humble Brimir Johansson misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities. Saul Alvarez was interviewed post fight and said 'I don't know what to say about that'.
