#R1##TD2# Padorca shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Orton manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Orton wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Padorca manages to pass to side control. Orton pushes Padorca off looking to stand but Padorca dives back in and keeps control.
Padorca not landing any meaningful shots this time. Orton is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Orton is looking for a sweep. Padorca is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Padorca is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. #T1# Padorca lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Padorca trying to control the pace. Padorca is looking to advance position but Orton won't allow it. Orton is refusing to be controlled, as Padorca sits in half guard. Orton keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Padorca thows a huge punch but Orton dodges it nicely.
#T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Padorca wants to free his trapped foot but Orton is holding on for dear life with his legs. Padorca winds up and cracks Orton with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Orton is refusing to be controlled, as Padorca sits in half guard. Padorca has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ground and pound from Padorca. Ground and pound from Padorca. Orton wants to get back to his feet. Padorca uses his free foot to push down on Orton's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Orton. Orton takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.#T3# Padorca breaks from Orton's wrist control and lands an elbow. Padorca lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Orton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Padorca on the ground. Orton is breathing heavily. Padorca connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Orton is bucking up trying to escape but Padorca cracks him with another couple of good strikes.#ROC2# Orton is rocked! Padorca softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Orton is out cold! Padorca jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lynn Padorca! Klaus Orton was interviewed post fight and said 'I'll just have to clock back in and get to work.'.
