Roman throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Baggins works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Baggins utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Roman trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Roman won't allow Baggins to get back to his feet. Roman throwing strikes but missing. Roman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. #T1# Baggins preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. #R1# Johnson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Roman counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Johnson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Roman changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Johnson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Roman counters with a lovely shot to the body. Johnson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Johnson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Roman makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Johnson fails with the takedown and Roman counters with a straight right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson dives in for a single leg takedown but Roman sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Mikel Roman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyler Johnson. Johnson misses with a double jab

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Johnson has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Roman to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Johnson is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Roman pulls down on the head and he's put Johnson to sleep! This one is all over!

#R1# Trenchard misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Roman is looking for a counter combo. Trenchard fails with the takedown. Roman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Trenchard. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Trenchard is defended easily by Roman. Mikel Roman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Trenchard. Trenchard lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Roman backs up against the cage.
#CUT2# It looks like Mikel Roman has been cut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Roman swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Trenchard lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Trenchard throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Roman counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Roman bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.#T1# Trenchard misses with a takedown attempt and Roman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. And that's the end of the fight! Koos Koekemoer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Koekemoer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
