#R1# Nice jab there from Spong. Guardian throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Guardian lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Spong circles away quickly and effectively. A quick step to the side and Spong tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Spong ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Guardian throws a nice looking combination but Spong bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Jab, jab by Spong - just one landing. Spong definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Guardian takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Spong punishes Guardian 's body with a nice straight punch. Rollo Guardian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Guardian throws a looping overhand right but Spong ducks down to avoid it. Guardian sizes up Spong with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. This has been an exciting period of action! Guardian misses with a hook
enabling Spong to counter with a crisp jab. Spong with a nice cross. Guardian throws a right and a left that both miss. Guardian will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Spong bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Guardian 's head. Guardian pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Guardian walks into a stiff left hand from Spong.#T1# Guardian swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Spong counters with a straight right hand. Guardian looks winded! Guardian glances at the clock... BAM! Spong nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Guardian crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Guardian is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Thai Spong! Thai Spong bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
