Carter tries to pull guard but Troublesome holds him up against the ropes and eventually Carter drops back down to his feet.

We've been hearing good reports from Carter's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Troublesome postures up.

#R1# Carter has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Van Der Moot. Van Der Moot swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
#TD2# and Carter counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Carter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carter passes into half guard. Van Der Moot is looking to improve his position.
#SUB2# Carter is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Van Der Moot sees it coming and defends easily. Carter lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Carter wants to take a breather but Van Der Moot is having none of it. #SUB2# Carter maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Van Der Moot could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Carter has cracked it and Van Der Moot is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Carter!

The referee is keeping an eye on Crocker - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Carter is trying to pull guard but Crocker has him pressed against the cage.#TD2# Crocker gets control of Carter's arms and successfully pulls guard. Crocker will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Carter sitting in guard here, content to control. Carter wants to control from the top but Crocker keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carter pushing down on Crocker's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Carter works a leg free and moves into half guard. Carter thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. #SUB# Carter is trying to work for a kimura but Spacco is defending well.

A very excited looking Brantley Carter rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. In defeat, Alex Wright stepped up to the mic, saying 'When I sign a contract, I really want to give 180%. And if I can't give that, it's just not fair to the promotion and it's not fair to the fans and it's not fair to myself'.
