Chan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Wren punishes Chan's body with a nice straight punch. Jason Chan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Wren has time to react. Wren darts in looking for a takedown but Chan gets double underhooks and turns Wren into the cage. A combination from Wren does no damage. #CL2# Wren gets tackled into the cage by Chan. Chan maintains the clinch. Chan comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Wren stalling in the clinch but Chan improves position. Chan lands a nice elbow from the clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Chan takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Chan avoiding damage.
#BC2# Chan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A head kick from Chan lands but Wren takes it in his stride. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Chan slaps away a takedown attempt from Wren, before circling back to the center of the mat.#T1# Wren ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Chan tries to bum rush Wren with a series of wild strikes but Wren uses good footwork to avoid the assault.#TD# Wren changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Chan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Chan wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Chan takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

He has the arm isolated but Chan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. #ES2# Chan sneaks out the side door and pushes Wren away - he's back to his feet. Wren looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.#BC2# Chan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.#T4# Chan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. A slow jab from Chan misses its intended target. Wren avoids the head kick by Chan.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Assassin Wren. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chan slams his shin into Wren's torso. Wren moves in looking to clinch but Chan pushes him off. Chan lunges at Wren with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Wren's hand. Chan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wren works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Wren has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Wren wants to stand but Chan is controlling the position. Chan content to stall in guard here. #T1# Chan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.#SU2# Wren is working an open guard so Chan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. A nice combination there by Chan.

Wren tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Chan defends well and Wren ends up having to push Chan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. #TD2# Wren is fighting off a takedown attempt but Chan is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Wren to the mat. Wren regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Chan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Wren can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Chan controls the pace. Wren manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chan manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVR##T4# We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chan wants to stand but Wren is controlling the position. Chan has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Wren stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chan swivels though and keeps the full guard. Chan looking for a sweep. Not yet Chan, not yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jason Chan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round! #R3# Wren changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chan tries to avoid it but Wren manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chan to the ground. Chan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Chan takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Wren shoots in for a double leg but Chan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Chan tries to counter with a clinch but Wren shakes him off and moves away. Chan scores with a head kick. Chan stuffs the takedown attempt from Wren. Wren gets slowly back to his feet. Chan keeps Wren at a distance using the push kick. #T2# Wren takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chan cracks the inside of Wren's front leg. Chan throws a leg kick which misses Wren's front leg but catches the back leg as Wren tries to avoid it. #CL2# Chan has taken the fight to the clinch.

Wren is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Chan is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Chan lands a right hand that snaps the head of Wren backwards. Wren tries to pull guard but Chan holds him up against the cage and eventually Wren drops back down to his feet.

Wren manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wren jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Chan walks away with a smile on his face. Wren gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. A jab from Chan finds it's way through Wren's defenses. Wren takes a kick to the side of the head. Wren swinging wildly here.
And that's the end of the fight! Jason Chan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Chan winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Wren looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Wren staying out of range there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. John is looking to regain half guard here but Wren keeps moving and retains side control. Wren lands a decent elbow from side control. Wren working the ground and pound. Wren controls the position.#T3# Wren works to advance to full mount. John defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. John keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Wren controlling from mount. Wren trying to control but he's not successful this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wren looking to control and managing it successfully. #T1# Wren wants to control the pace but John is squirming around nicely. #SUB2# Wren quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Wren but it's paid off an John is forced to tap! Nice work by Wren.

Wren dives in and grabs Farina's left leg, looking for a takedown. Farina pushes down on Wren's head and hops out. Farina throws the left hand but Wren avoids the punch easily. Farina displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Wren throws out the jab. Wren has a takedown stuffed. Farina misses with a hook. Wren fails with a takedown attempt. Mario Farina has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Assassin Wren. Wren tries to clinch but fails miserably and Farina cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wren misses with a takedown attempt and Farina counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Farina getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Farina connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Farina connects with a looping right hand.
