A little nod from Basington there as he acknowledges the shot. Oh Basington is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Grandis lands a nice shot that snaps Basington's head back.
Grandis cracks Basington on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Basington falls backwards against the cage. Grandis follows up with more strikes that drop Basington to his knees. Grandis keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Basington! This one is all over!

#R1##TD# Daucourt shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Basington's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Basington keeping moving, preventing Daucourt from controlling successfully. Basington has momentary wrist control but Daucourt slips an elbow through the middle. Basington keeping full guard, as Daucourt tries to pass. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Basington can do anything to dispel that myth. Daucourt working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Daucourt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Basington trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Daucourt advances to half guard. Ground and pound from Daucourt. Daucourt looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Basington with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Sessue wants to pass the guard but Basington is defending well. Sessue is nestled in close to Basington, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Sessue passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Basington! Sessue with a couple of short strikes.#ROC# Basington is rocked! Basington throwing hammer fists to the chest of Sessue. What's that going to do exactly? Sessue putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Basington is still in real trouble! Can Sessue finish him? Sessue is in the full mount, landing strikes. Zeal looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Zeal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Zeal misses with a takedown attempt - Basington sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Basington doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
