#R1# Riedner with a poor takedown and Alves counters with a stiff right hand. Alves ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Riedner moves away. Riedner fails with a takedown attempt. Alves throws a counter high kick but Riedner was just alert enough to avoid it. Riedner fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Dani Alves has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cole Riedner . Horrible takedown attempt by Riedner or perhaps it was just good defense by Alves, which made it look bad. #CL# Alves has Riedner up against the cage in a clinch.
Riedner tries to score a body lock takedown but Alves shows good agility there to stay on his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Riedner can't get the takedown.
Riedner is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Alves to keep the fight standing. Riedner goes for a takedown in the clinch but Alves prevents it.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Alves walks away with a smile on his face. Riedner gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. #T2# A head kick misses from Alves. Riedner drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Alves defends it well. Alves is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Riedner can do to turn this around? Riedner closes the distance looking to clinch #TD# and Alves counters with a takedown into side control. Riedner is working to avoid the ground and pound but Alves connects with a decent elbow. Alves scoring with punches and elbows. Riedner takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.#SUB# Alves is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Riedner is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Dani Alves overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Alves has knee on belly and moves into mount. #T3# Alves content just to control the position here. Alves's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Alves fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
#T4# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Alves postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Riedner looks a forlorn figure.

#R1##TD2# Excellent takedown into side control there by Alves. Cooper is looking for a sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alves throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Alves moves into full mount! Cooper is trying desperately to improve position. Alves with a couple of short strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Alves quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Alves but it's paid off an Cooper is forced to tap! Nice work by Alves.

#R1##TD2# Excellent takedown into side control there by Alves. Alves trying to control the position but Cobb is working away. Cobb struggling a bit here. Cobb really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Alves slows the pace down. Alves in side control, throwing shots but Cobb defends. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alves sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Cobb is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Alves working away. Alves wants to stand but Cobb has his arm trapped. Cobb is looking to regain half guard here but Alves keeps moving and retains side control. Alves has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.#T1# Alves tries to advance to mount but Cobb denies him. Alves wants to stand but Cobb has his arm trapped. #R1##CL2# Alves moves into the clinch.#BC2# Alves escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
#TD2# Excellent takedown into side control there by Alves. Tran is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Alves looks up at the clock and then as Tran takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Alves smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Tran is trying to control Alves's posture but Alves avoids it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tran is looking to reverse the position.#T1# The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alves scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Tran to see if he's OK. Tran trying to remain calm as Alves controls from the top position. Alves tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Alves is staying tight to Tran's torso, preventing him from escaping. Alves lands an elbow. Tran tries to improve position but can't. Alves happy to just control the position for now. #T2##SU2# Alves stands up and we're back to a striking position. #TD2# Alves shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Alves controlling the action here. #T3# Alves has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Tran knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alves on the ground. Tran wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Alves.
#T4# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Alves looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
#ROC2# Tran is rocked! Tran takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Alves's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
