#R1# Duffy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gunnarson. Duffy tries to clinch and Gunnarson counters with a series of strikes. Duffy will be more careful next time no doubt. Duffy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. #TD2# Gunnarson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Duffy napping and manages to drive through into side control!#SU2# Gunnarson stands up and beckons Duffy to his feet. Gunnarson shoots in for a takedown but Duffy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Duffy throws a counter high kick but Gunnarson was just alert enough to avoid it. Gunnarson with a lazy takedown attempt and Duffy counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Gunnarson is lucky that one didn't land flush. Jim Duffy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonas Gunnarson. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#CL2# Duffy tries to keep at a distance but Gunnarson has taken the fight into the clinch. Gunnarson is pushing Duffy up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. #BC2# Gunnarson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
#T1##CL2# Gunnarson gets in close and instigates a clinch. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Gunnarson. Gunnarson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Duffy just stands there and leans against the cage. Duffy gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gunnarson.

#TD2# Gunnarson decides to pull guard. #SUB# Duffy postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gunnarson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Duffy, into his guard. #REVB##T2# Duffy working a defensive guard here.
Duffy has Gunnarson pulled in close to control his posture. Duffy could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Gunnarson postures up.
Gunnarson passes into half guard. Gunnarson controlling the action here.#T3# The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Duffy controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Gunnarson wants to free his trapped foot but Duffy is holding on for dear life with his legs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gunnarson stops Duffy from getting back to his feet.
#T4# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Gunnarson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Gunnarson moves nicely into side control. You can see the frustration on Duffy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Duffy holding on. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gunnarson working the body and head with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jonas Gunnarson dominated that round. That's time! Duffy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. #R2# Gunnarson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Duffy defends it nicely. Jonas Gunnarson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fighters circle, before Gunnarson throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Duffy's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Gunnarson lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
