#R1##CL2# Janson clinches with his opponent.
#TD2# Janson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. West can't fight it off and eventually Janson manages to take the fight to the floor. West looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.#SUB# West is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Janson is aware though and is defending well.#SUB# West is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Janson looking to sit in guard and control but West gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR# Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#SUB2# Janson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. West stacks Janson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by West! A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. #T1# West seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Janson for as long as he can get away with. Check out the look on West's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Janson is being controlled here. West scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Janson to see if he's OK. A lull in the action here.#T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Janson is trying to get back to half guard. West is putting a hurting on Janson here, landing some big shots from side control. Janson is trying to escape the position but West is controlling the position. West is chipping away with strikes.
#T3# West looks up at the clock and then as Janson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, West smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Janson can't do much from the bottom here. Janson looks winded! West controlling the position from side mount. Janson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
#T4# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. West working the ground and pound. West is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Janson's shoulder. That is not cool. #SU# West decides to stand up, so the ref orders Janson to his feet. #TD2# Janson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in West's guard.#ES# West has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Janson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. #CL# West gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.#BC# West breaks from the clinch.
#TD2# Janson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. West is trying to defend but Janson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.#ES# West pushes Janson off and gets back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edison West dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. #R2##TD# West closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Janson did well to prevent West getting side control. West drops an elbow to the side of Janson's head. West lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. West trying to control the pace. West is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Janson can do to turn this around? Janson trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but West manages to pass to mount!
West tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Janson is breathing heavily. West has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.#T1# Edison West overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. West lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. West takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB# West is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Janson is forced to tap! Great finish!
