#R1# Carrillo avoids the head kick by Lovell.
#TD2# Lovell shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lovell was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Carrillo misses with an elbow from the bottom. Carrillo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Lovell controls the position. It looks like Lovell might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.#SU2# Lovell decides to stand back up. Lovell steps back and let's Carrillo get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD2# Lovell darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Carrillo tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Lovell manages to move to mount!
#T1# Lovell trying to control but Carrillo is having none of it. Carrillo is looking to get to half guard. Carrillo swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Carrillo gets back to half guard. Lovell is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.#SU2# Lovell stands up out of the half guard. #T2##TD2# Lovell drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lovell content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lovell's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Lovell is trying to push Carrillo away but Carrillo has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Lovell wants to get back to striking at distance but Carrillo won't allow it.

Lovell pulls Carrillo in close to prevent any damage. #SU# Carrillo stands up from Lovell's guard - Carrillo perhaps looking for a knockout. #T4# Carrillo ducks under a wild hook from Lovell. Carrillo is looking to counter the offense by Lovell and move into the clinch.#TD2# Lovell shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lovell showed some decent athleticism there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SU2# Lovell decides to stand up. Lovell throws a right and a left that both miss.#TD2# Lovell drives through with a takedown into guard. #SU2# Lovell gets to his feet. Carrillo looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. Billy Lovell dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. #R2##CL2# Lovell closes the distance and clinches. Carrillo displaying some good clinch control by pressing Lovell up against the cage. Carrillo misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Lovell.

Carrillo gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.#CUT2# It looks like Preston Carrillo has been cut. Billy Lovell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.#TD2# Lovell throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Carrillo was covering up waiting for the punch and Lovell finishes the takedown easily into guard. #T1# Lovell engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Carrillo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Carrillo doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Carrillo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lovell is one step ahead there. Lovell trying to control the position from guard on top but Carrillo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. #T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Lovell is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. #SUB# Carrillo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Lovell showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Lovell is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Lovell wants to get up but he can't break Carrillo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Lovell lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.#T3##SU2# Lovell stands and steps away. Carrillo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Lovell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
#TD2# Lovell closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Carrillo quickly recovers to half guard. Lovell keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Lovell wants to control but Carrillo is keeping him busy. Lovell controlling the action here. Billy Lovell has got the better of the ground game so far.#SU2# Lovell decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Jab from Lovell.#ROC2# Carrillo is rocked!#T4# Lovell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Carrillo thinks about countering with a head kick. Lovell looks to land a left hand but Carrillo moved out of range nicely. Carrillo tries to counter by clinching up but Lovell breaks away and moves out of range.#CL2# The fight moves into the clinch position. Carrillo is pushing Lovell up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!#BC2# Lovell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Billy Lovell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Preston Carrillo's cut. That's the end of the round. Oh Carrillo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!#TD2# Lovell shoots in and gets a takedown into Carrillo's guard. Carrillo thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Lovell controlling from the top position. #SU2# Lovell gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. #TD2# Lovell dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Carrillo has had enough and taps out.
