Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Xing Pugberg (ranked 2214 p4p, 125 weight class) and Sairanix Jr Lokren (ranked 23016 p4p, 291 weight class). Sairanix Jr Lokren has the eye of the tiger tonight.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 2 losses; Xing Pugberg! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Sairanix Jr Lokren ! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Pugberg rushes Lokren and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lokren has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Lokren defending well as Silver loads up on a big left hand. Lokren is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Silver looks to land a left hand but Lokren moved out of range nicely. A little jabbing left from Lokren on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Silver scores with a punch to the head. Silver throws a wild body kick that Lokren sees coming a mile off. I was talking to Hermann's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Lokren tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat.
