Charles just content to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Charles tries to move to mount but Philips blocks the move with his legs. Philips tries to improve position but can't. Philips really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Charles. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#T1# Philips tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Philips tries to get back to half guard but can't. Charles controlling the pace for now. Philips with a flurry of punches that miss. Philips trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Philips throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Philips throws a big right hand that misses. Philips postures up in Charles's guard and throws a big left but Charles blocks it. Philips engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Philips throws a big elbow that misses. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Philips accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.#T1# Philips with a flurry of punches that miss. Philips landing with the ground and pound. Philips wants to control from the top but Charles keeps moving. Philips postures up in Charles's guard and throws a big left but Charles blocks it. Philips is working Charles over from the guard.
