Jackson wants to control the action here but instead Villarreal manages to pass to full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson tries to lock up and control but Villarreal gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Villarreal with a couple of short strikes. Jackson squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Villarreal with good strikes from the mount here! Villarreal scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Jackson?
Villarreal will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Vega tries to free his leg and advance position but Villarreal is retaining full guard. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Vega has eaten all the pies! Vega throws a big right hand that misses. Vega postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Vega trying to control but Villarreal is working from the bottom. Vega missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Vega stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Villarreal swivels though and keeps the full guard. Vega distracts Villarreal with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vega is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Vega trying to control the position from guard on top but Villarreal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Vega throws an elbow that misses. Villarreal uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Vega's guard. Nice move by Villarreal!#REVR##T1##SUB2# Villarreal got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vega has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Villarreal has managed to get both his arms back between Vega's legs - danger averted. Villarreal with a flurry of punches that miss. Vega is pulling down on Villarreal's head to control his posture. #SUB2# Vega has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Villarreal should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Dixon wants to stand and escape but instead Villarreal has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. #REVR# Villarreal is fighting to break Dixon's control of his arms but Dixon is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Let's hope that Dixon has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Villarreal chips away with some ground and pound.#T1# Dixon wants to control but Villarreal passes easily into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jonathan Villarreal. Well Dixon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Villarreal throws a lazy right hand but Swogger sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Villarreal tries to clinch and Swogger counters with a straight right hand.#TD# Villarreal fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Swogger to the ground. Villarreal is now in Swogger's guard. Villarreal scores with a decent looking elbow strike. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. #R1# Pasticcio throws out a powerful jab.#CUT2# It looks like Jonathan Villarreal has been cut. Pasticcio cracks Villarreal with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Villarreal tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Pasticcio pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Villarreal is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

#R1##CL# Villarreal darts in and clinches Rogers up against the cage. Villarreal jumps guard but Rogers turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Villarreal has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rogers is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Villarreal tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rogers smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonathan Villarreal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rogers blocks a head kick by Villarreal.
#TD2# Rogers closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Villarreal to the mat! Villarreal manages to get full guard. Rogers trying to control but Villarreal is working from the bottom.
