Hughes closes the distance and lands a one-two. Rogers wants to land a leg kick but Hughes is out of range. Hughes throws a big counter combination but Rogers scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Rogers with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

French keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hughes's efforts to push away. Hughes wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

#R1# Hughes shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sue but Sue pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sue appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Sue moves out of range of the strikes. Hughes closes the distance and clinches up with Sue, looking for a takedown. Hughes pushes Sue against the cage but Sue circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sue is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Hughes with a body shot. Sue tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hughes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A jab from Hughes misses. Sue unleashes a big counter combination but Hughes bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Hughes doesn't succeed with the takedown and Sue counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hughes thinking. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mauricio Hughes.
