#R1# Brown throws a sloppy head kick and Kaoru moves out of range easily. Kaoru goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Brown slaps away a takedown attempt from Kaoru, before circling back to the center of the mat. Brown throws a fast counter high kick but Kaoru manages to duck under it in time. Brown throws a right hand that Kaoru ducks under and follows up with a left that Kaoru also avoids with ease. Kaoru thinks about countering with a head kick. Brown is looking to clinch but Kaoru is avoiding it.
Brown misses with a jab, cross combination.
Brown tries to clinch there but Kaoru circles away.
Kaoru closes the distance looking to clinch and Brown counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kaoru thinking. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brown tries to close the distance and clinch but Kaoru swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Brown lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Brown tries to close the distance and clinch but Kaoru swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kaoru is defended easily by Brown. Kaoru is breathing heavily. Brown feints a jab and as Kaoru dips his head, Brown unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Kaoru right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Kaoru falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Brown smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

#R1##CL# Castaneda has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kaoru looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Castaneda looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Kaoru on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Castaneda could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Castaneda tries to break free but Kaoru pushes him back against the cage. Stalling in the clinch from Kaoru.
Castaneda fails to pull the fight into his guard.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kaoru has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.#BC# Castaneda's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.#TD2# Castaneda gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. #R1# Rios shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kaoru as he avoids it easily. Kaoru looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!#TD2# Rios gets caught flat footed, as Kaoru shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Kaoru must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.#SUB# Rios has his foot on Kaoru's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kaoru works his way back into a safe position though. Rios might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kaoru is looking to stand up but Rios won't let him. Rios trying to control the position.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kaoru working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Rios has Kaoru pulled in close to control his posture. Rios has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! This is a sustained period of stalling by Rios. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kaoru throws a sloppy head kick and Little moves out of range easily. #TD2# Kaoru decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Little has his hands clasped together around Kaoru's back. He's all about the action. Little trying to control from the bottom.
Little tries to roll over but Kaoru keeps him under control.#T1# Little regains full guard. Nicely done. Kaoru not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kaoru must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kaoru really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Little. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. And that's the end of the fight! Hanayama Kaoru comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kaoru has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
