Lawrence is figuring out what he wants to do next. Lawrence prevents Gould from improving his position. Lawrence keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Gould makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gould. Gould is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Gould has his foot on Lawrence's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wellwood lands a nice hook to Gould's body. Gould takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Wellwood fails to land with a series of punches.
As Wellwood looks to move away, Gould throws a big counter combo but Wellwood just gets out of the way. Nice straight punches there by Wellwood. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Wellwood.#CUT2# It looks like Miguel Gould has been cut. Gould doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Gould shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wellwood pinned against the cage. Wellwood gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Wellwood throws a body kick that misses. Cascio seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Cascio content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Cascio is thwarting Gould's attempts to control the position. Gould wants to improve his position but Cascio is controlling well.
